Welcome to Launde Abbey
For over 900 years, the site of Launde Abbey has been a place of prayer and of hospitality, and so it continues today. It is the home of a thriving community into which guests are invited to participate no matter how long or short their stay and, in so doing finding sanctuary, a safe space, a place to rest, reflect and to be.

Prayer at Launde
Above all else, Launde is a place of prayer, and the daily rhythm of our Chapel worship lies at the very heart of all we do.
There are three daily services in Launde’s Chapel, led by the community, to which all guests and visitors are welcome. There’s no dress code or reserved seating, prayer books are provided, and the service leader will guide everyone through every aspect of the service — so you won’t get lost! And if you’d prefer to just come, sit in the Chapel, and listen to the service without joining in, that’s perfectly fine too.
