Launde 900 Hymn Competition
From the summer of 2019 until the summer of 2020 Launde Abbey is celebrating its 900th anniversary, marking nine centuries of life as a house of prayer and hospitality. To mark this milestone in our life we launched a national competition to find new hymns or worship songs which capture the spirit of Launde and which can be used at services and events during the anniversary year and beyond.
Throughout the Spring of 2019 we sought hymns and songs which express some of Launde’s key values, including prayer, worship, hospitality, silence, reflection, retreat and more.
