Keeping You Safe at Launde Abbey
Whether you are a first time visitor or a seasoned guest, we’re delighted to welcome you to Launde Abbey. It is important that as our guest you have confidence in us and the current measures that we are taking to ensure that the Abbey remains as safe and secure as possible.
After considering the Government’s ‘Living safely with respiratory infections, including COVID-19′ briefing (1st April 2022), we have decided to take the following steps to minimise the chances of infectious diseases spreading at Launde.
Launde is actively taking the following steps to minimise the spread of respiratory infections, including COVID-19.
- We are a mask friendly venue, all staff and guests are able to wear masks as they wish.
- Hand sanitiser is available to all guests and staff in all of our communal spaces, and meeting rooms.
- We encourage ventilation of our meeting rooms when in use by our guests.
- All meeting/ conference rooms are ventilated appropriately prior to use.
- All our bedrooms are well ventilated after each use.
- Our housekeeping team complete daily cleaning regimes in all communal areas.
- All bedrooms/ meeting rooms are cleaned after use.
- All staff are encouraged to test if they have symptoms, and isolate if positive.
What if I have symptoms or test positive before my visit?
We ask our guests to take the same responsible approach that our Launde team takes. Testing isn’t mandatory but we’d certainly encourage it, if at all possible, especially if you have symptoms or are a close contact of someone who has tested positive. We then ask that you follow the Government guidance outline in April 1stdocument:
If you haven’t taken a Covid test…
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection (such as COVID-19) and you have a high temperature or you do not feel well enough to go to work or carry out your normal activities, you are advised to try and stay at home and avoid contact with other people.
If you have taken a Covid test (and it is positive)…
It is very likely that you have COVID-19 even if you do not have any symptoms. You can pass on the infection to others, even if you have no symptoms. Many people with COVID-19 will no longer be infectious to others after 5 days. Try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days after the day you took your test.
