Women in the Bible [POSTPONED]

Bishop Graham Kings will bring to Launde seven paintings of ‘Women in the Bible’ which Silvia Dimitrova, a Bulgarian icon writer and painter, and he have been working on for sixteen years. They will focus on five: Sarah, Miriam, Ruth, Lydia and Priscilla, exploring them, interactively and prayerfully, through biblical commentary, expository poetry and listening to the anthems written for them by Tristan Latchford, Director of Music, St Chad’s College, Durham. There will be space for personal prayer and creativity.

Dr Graham Kings, in retirement, is Hon Assistant Bishop and World Mission Adviser in the Diocese of Southwark. Previously he served as Mission Theologian in the Anglican Communion, Bishop of Sherborne, Vicar of Islington, founding Director of the Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide, and Vice Principal of St Andrew’s College, Kabare, Kenya. He has published books on Kenyan Liturgies, Theology of Mission, and Art and Poetry.
