A Launde Quiet Day led by David Newman. On this Quiet Day we will focus on Psalm 100, a psalm often known by its Latin title Jubilate Deo. We will seek to reflect on the nature of Christian joy, and ask how it might be possible to experience it in difficult times such as those we are currently living through. How can our understanding of God sustain us when life seems far from joyful?
David Newman is warden of Launde Abbey and has led many Quiet Days, Retreats and courses. He has extensive pastoral experience through parish ministry and as an archdeacon and enjoys teaching the faith. His book “Growing up into the Children of God” explores the nature of Christian maturity.
