ONLINE Growing Up into the Children of God Retreat

Have these extraordinary days we are living through got you thinking about the nature of God and his relationship with us and his world? Do you want some space for reflection, conversation and prayer?

During this retreat we will look at some themes contained in David’s book of the same title (a free signed copy of which will be sent to all participants):

• What is a mature relationship with God?

• What in that is God’s part and what is our part?

• Can we expect too much of God and turn him into a magician or too little and make faith not much more than a human enterprise?

We will also pick up issues like prayer and providence, pain and suffering and think through what makes for a mature church as well personal faith.

David Newman has been the warden of Launde Abbey for nearly four years and enjoys the opportunity to support people in their spiritual growth and development through leading retreats, courses, quiet days, and spiritual direction. He has a long experience of pastoral leadership in the church through incumbencies in Derby and Loughborough and most recently as archdeacon of Loughborough. His book Growing up into the Children of God was published last year.
