Join us for the perfect Sunday afternoon out…
We look forward to continuing our Launde Abbey Concert Series throughout 2025, bringing you intimate classical performances from the finest musicians. Join us for an hour of enchanting classical music in our medieval chapel, followed by the famous Launde Abbey Cream Tea.

Duo partners for more than 25 years, cellist Nick Stringfellow and pianist Eleanor Hodgkinson have performed throughout the UK. With programmes that often encompass unusual or less-championed repertoire, they bring a unique energy and presentational style to their performances. Recent appearances include the Royal Holloway, the University of London International Concert Series, the inaugural Carwithen Music Festival, and community projects for Culture Leicestershire.

Nick Stringfellow is Associate Head of Strings at Birmingham Conservatoire and Principal Cello of Orchestra of the Swan. In great demand as a session musician, he was also a founding member of the Villiers Quartet. Eleanor Hodgkinson is Keyboard Coordinator at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music and Principal Lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire. She is a sought-after collaborative pianist and recording artist for the Naxos Grand Piano label.
Launde Classical Concerts offer the chance to hear an hour-long live concert in the company of some of the country’s leading performers, followed by a gorgeous Launde cream tea.
