Christ Has Died, Christ Is Risen: Easter Retreat
1st April, 4:00 pm to 4th April, 2:00 pm
£480You might be familiar with the words: “See God’s salvation plan/Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice” from the Townend song See What a Morning, or perhaps “Thine be the glory, risen conquering Son” is more your thing. We sing of Christ as sacrifice… Christ as victorious… Christ as example. How might our prayer life be enriched and our hearts stirred with love for God when we view from more than one perspective the wonderful complexity that is represented by the simple words ‘Christ has died, Christ is risen’? Let us welcome you to Launde Abbey for an Easter week retreat to give you space, time and resources to ponder and pray, in the name of the risen Christ.
Alison Myers is the warden of Launde Abbey. Before coming to Launde, she was the Team Rector in rural ministry in Cambridgeshire. Alison has crafted and led many reflective services and gatherings using spoken word, music, silence and creative prayer stations. She is also an experienced workshop leader and mentor, combining spirituality and theology with the practical challenges of leadership, teamwork and managing change, informed by her working life before she was ordained as well as theological study and lifelong faith. She loves praying outdoors, having a good cup of coffee, noticing the cycle of the seasons and encouraging a wondering faith. She lives with her family on-site at Launde Abbey.
