Cycling Retreat [POSTPONED]

1st June 2020, 12:00 pm to 3rd June 2020, 4:30 pm

£205

Are you passionate about road cycling and want to explore Christian spirituality through cycling?

We are in our third year of facilitating a retreat that through experience and physical exercise gives us space and opportunity to reflect on how when we are out on the bike we feel closer to God, are lifted in our faith and have time to become more whole. As well as an opportunity to improve your well-being you will be with a group of like minded individuals and able to make the most of the opportunity to ride with others, discuss ways in which worship can be outworked while cycling and even reflect on prayer while pedalling.

“The body is the glory of the soul” – An opportunity to reflect on and think about Embodied Spirituality.

Launde Abbey is in a beautiful setting and we will join with the community to share part of their routine while contrasting that with exploring the local stunning countryside and villages. The cycling will be offered as group options that will be flexible to suit those cycling but it is strongly recommended that a road bike is used and cyclists will soon discover that the Abbey is in a valley surrounded by rolling hills so a reasonable familiarity with hilly terrain is advisable.

A retreat timetable is available with more detail.
