Facilities for Guests

Shop

We have a well-stocked shop in Reception offering seasonal and general gifts, cards and local produce. There is also a limited range of snacks and sweets available for purchase in the Gallery. Payments can be made at Reception during normal office hours for those wishing to buy items.

Bookshop

There is a bookstall in the Gallery offering a good range of Bibles and Christian books, many of which are written by our retreat leaders. Payments can be made at Reception during normal office hours for those wishing to buy books.

Bar

A well-stocked bar, located in the Gallery, is available to guests over the age of 18; the bar is open from midday until midnight. We ask guests to use our Honesty Bar Tabs to keep track of drinks consumed during your visit, and the settle the tab by card payment with the Dining Room staff during or after your final meal.

Library

We have a well-stocked Library situated next to the Sitting Room in the main house, and another smaller collection in the Stables alongside the main Conference Room. Guests are welcome to take books out of the Library to read during their visit. Unfortunately we are not a lending library so we do ask that you return any items you borrow at the end of your stay.

We also keep a selection of church newspapers and magazines in the Gallery, as well as small numbers of general interest books scattered around various rooms of the house and Stables.

Vehicle Charging

Launde has a strong commitment to improving our green footprint and we’re working towards providing electric vehicle charging for cars and motorbikes as soon as possible. At present, however, our existing electrical system does not have the capacity to charge most vehicles.
