We look forward to continuing our Launde Abbey Concert Series throughout 2025, bringing you intimate classical performances from the finest musicians. Join us for an hour of enchanting classical music in our medieval chapel, followed by the famous Launde Abbey Cream Tea.

Forget the frosts and howling winds of winter, and join teenage Laurie Lee, violinist and dreamer on his epic walk … as he leaves the comfort of rural Gloucestershire for the depravations of a life on the road … from the smouldering gypsies of Malaga to the fire-blackened Christ of Almuñécar … from the naivety of a nineteen-year-old to the Spanish Socialist call to arms.
Capturing Laurie’s richly descriptive language in a powerful narrative and packed with the passionate and haunting music of Spain, the show recalls a time of innocence, freedom and heat!
