Quiet Day: Soaking in Solitude [POSTPONED]

How do you experience being alone? A desert or an oasis?
Led by Rachel Bennet and three Community of the Tree of Life Novices, this day will explore the practice of building intentional periods of solitude into our lives.

Rachel leads the Community of the Tree of Life as its Prior. She spent 15 years in parish ministry before coming to Leicester. She is a trained Spiritual Director and loves solitude…though she best likes to share it with the companionship of her Golden Retriever, Josie Joy.

Sophie Reiss, Isaac Ford and Allison Gross are spending a new monastic year as novices in the Community. They have been growing in the spiritual disciplines, serving in social action and studying the monastic traditions. They will share their growing awareness of the invitation to solitude, ‘Come away with me to a quiet place by yourself.
